As an instructor at SAIT for the new Integrated Water Management program I worked on the development of curriculum as well as teaching. I developed the curriculum for a course focused on data management and analytics, a course providing a background in turning data into effective components of reports. I taught that course as well as field technologies for data collection, planned and executed a field school, as well as developed a VR lab both in terms of creating the space but also the hardware and software platforms used for education. As part of my time educating during COVID19 I was able to leverage VR technology to enhance data visualization, communication, collaborating, and understanding.

-I provide technical and regulatory support both in the office and in the field for vegetation, wetlands, and water quality monitoring. I developed the RAW-DR tool in collaboration with the IEL team and it has created both time and cost efficiencies for our clients project planning and eventual water act applications.-I wrote and developed SOP's and workflow for our UAV program which has helped us maintain our position as a technological leader in the industry. I have provided support for both hardware and software decisions within this team. With our UAV data we have provided clients a cost effective solution for collecting high resolution data safely in remote areas. I am responsible for processing the collected UAV data into Point Clouds, Orthographic imagery, Digital Surface Models, 3d Models, flying, and creating renders of our projects.-I provide baseline vegetation assessments for multiple industrial sectors, survey and reported for wetland impacts, consult clients on rare plant mitigations, and manage the vegetation component on numerous projects from the field surveying to the regulatory application. -I work with with both our clients, regulators, and the team at IEL to ensure responsible developments gain efficient regulatory approvals.

I started at Nickpoint Environmental services in 2014 as an intermediate vegetation ecologist. As the company experienced rapid growth, they required departmental team leaders. I stepped into the role of Vegetation Team Lead and managed both the field and office vegetation staff and oversaw the completion of the vegetation portion of all Nickpoint projects. In this role I oversaw a team of up to 7 staff and contractors during field season.

I started as a vegetation ecologist at Stantec in 2012 and worked until my departure to Nickpoint in 2014. On the team I gained experience working with an exceptional team of senior staff. I worked on numerous projects spanning oil and gas, transmission, and rail. I gained skills with vegetation mapping, aerial photo selection and interpretation, wetland mapping and assessments, field data collection and management, pre and post construction weed surveys, wetland monitoring, vegetation ID, water act applications, and aquatic turbidity monitoring.

I worked as a logistics coordinator at Stantec seasonally during university starting in 2008 thru 2012. During this time I liaised with both the equipment coordinator, field staff, and project managers in order to ensure that the environmental field programs had transportation and accommodation as required. I was able to gain a broad level of experience in the field providing assistance on wildlife, vegetation, and water quality surveys during this time.

Worked here in Gr. 10 got employee of the month as well as a promotion to Crew trainer.
