CurrentIn my role at this fast-paced outpatient surgery center, I provide top-quality nursing care before, during, and after a variety of procedures including orthopedic, bariatric, and vascular. In this position, I: » Obtain patients' consent for surgeries, process medical records, and perform pre-admit testing and assessments.» Perform pre-operative IV starts and fluid administration and ensure normal vital signs. » Clearly explain protocols to our patients.» Position patients for surgery and maintain patient safety throughout surgical process, continuously monitoring and documenting patient condition. » Assist the anesthesiologist before, during, and after procedures. » Monitor patients’ post-operative vital signs and consciousness, closely observing them for complications.» Maintain patients' airways, monitor surgical sites, and appropriately manage pain and nausea through medication administration. » Thoroughly and accurately update patient charts using EMR.» Maintain compliance with all care standards and ensure patient safety. » Respond to emergencies with a clear-headed, professional approach. » Communicate therapeutically with patients and families, clearly explaining discharge instructions and at-home care.
