I have lead responsibility for all aspects of the operational management of the Isle of Man Ship Registry. As well as creating a regulatory environment that is consistent, pragmatic and supportive; this includes responsibilty for the delivery of responsive, courteous and high quality services to the Ship Registry’s clients and stakeholders.The role includes overall responsibility for performance management, the achievement of operational objectives and targets, delivery of services, budget control and financial management, and the training and development of staff.

Representing the Isle of Man at the International Maritime Organization attending committee and sub committees developing maritime legislation. My responsibilities included carrying out Company and ship audits for compliance with International Conventions including the International Safety Management Code (ISM) and International Ship and Port Facility security Code (ISPS).Developing and writing policy for the introduction of the Maritime Labour Convention 2006.Carrying out General Inspections of ships on behalf of the fag state.Carrying out yacht surveys for compliance with the LY2 and LY3
