Teaching assistant in computer labs/tutorials for two transportation courses at UC, one at honours level (ENCN412) and one at masters level (ENTR608).

I lead and manage a team of five other Residential Assistants. Together we have responsibility for the pastoral care and wellbeing of 159 first and second year students. I oversee the operations of the Residential Assistants, including organising the duty roster and communicating with senior management to ensure that the Residential Assistants are operating efficiently and effectively.Through this role I am developing leadership and team building skills, including the importance of being genuine and leading by example. I have developed skills in pastoral care and crisis management while being attentive to the safety and security of residents.

Musical director of the Chamber Choir which perform at hall events such as chapel services. This involves selecting music, running rehearsals, and conducting the group during performances. The Chamber Choir have won the Selwyn College exchange each year from 2020-2023.

Provided on-site and on-call pastoral care to 159 first and second year students at a hall of residence. A key responsibility was after-hours student management. I worked as part of the Residential Assistant team to support the Assistant Principal and Principal in maintaining the atmosphere and general well-being of College House.

Tutoring students in 1st Professional year Civil Engineering papers.

The USER (Undergraduate Studies in Earthquake Resilience) summer research programme is a 10-week summer research internship at the University of Canterbury coordinated by Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE: the New Zealand Centre for Earthquake Resilience. The aim of the programme is to provide multi-disciplinary research opportunities for undergraduate students to become exposed to various aspects of earthquake resilience problems.My main focus during the programme was creating a tool that converts earthquake acceleration recordings to audio. This audio can be used to demonstrate earthquake site effects, helping visually impaired people and auditory learners to understand features of earthquakes. The converter can also be used to generate custom music from earthquake acceleration recordings.

Quantified the reliability and performance of proprietary adhesion pads currently used globally by robots carrying out remote inspections. Investigated the capabilities of various experimental adhesion pads for use on rough surfaces.

Evaluation of Global Issues Problem Solving booklets. This involves marking the booklets against a rubric and providing feedback on each part completed.

Coached two year 9 teams for the Global Issues Problem Solving division.
