The work hours consisted of twelve-hour shifts, two days and two nights in a week. The core aspect of the job consisted of making sure the line was running like a well-oiled machine. Product specifications had to be done hourly and accurately. Uncertainties about the quality or appearance of the product had to be reported directly to the supervisor. Full crates had to be packaged, some with bags and some without. Team-work and communication was involved helping each other when a crate full of PVC pipe was finished. Forklifts was driven daily with precision in order to move products from production to shipping area.

Job duties:A younger me was looking to earn some income whilst at school. A great fit was delivering newspapers as it would not affect my school academics in the early stages. The job consisted of getting up 04:45 every morning six days a week. I had about eighty newspapers which I delivered daily. The newspapers needed to be packed in plastic bags for weather protection before delivery could take place. I planned my route in order to maximize efficiency. Magazines also needed to be delivered on Thursdays. The magazines required extra focus and concentration, because there were numerous different titles which added to the complexity of the task. The job required dedication, reliability, drive and planning.
