The City of Orono maintains over 260 acres of parks, trails and open space. Parks offers a variety of recreational amenities for the community including open spaces, trails, athletic fields, playgrounds, Golf Course, Lake Access Points, and Beaches. As a commissioner, I advise the city council on the needs of our parks, being a voice for the residents.

As an associate product engineer, i was tasked with the development of 300 skus annually with $300M in sales. One of my key projects was to update the material utilization of our core product line, saving Target $2.5M a year by updating the materials of picture frames to a domestically sourced recycled EPS. An unintended consequence was a reduction in defectives and freight costs because of weight, further amplifying the savings

I was hands on involved with the everyday manufacturing and assembly of circuit board assemblies. I conducted tests to troubleshoot defective products and also produced manufacturing protocols for new assemblies. I quoted all of the new products for existing and potential customers as well as keep an ongoing communication line with customers to discuss challenges and improvement possibilities.

I specialized in working with schematics to solve problems and adjusted specifications in advanced circuits to obtain optimal results. I also arranged and directed meetings with other facilities and departments to develop solutions to company-wide problems. Additionally, I wrote and produced the test manuals for products I helped develop.

As a Co-Op student, I was in charge of maintaining functionality of the 21 servers. I continuously worked with software and hardware engineers to implement revisions and report on performance changes. I was trained using a wide variety of test equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes. After receiving consistently positive feedback on my work, I was promoted to the position of Circuit Design Engineer.
