I was on the master planning committee for a green-field town which over a year achieved consensus between developers, environmentalists and State agencies on a Structure Plan. I conceived and championed scores of initiatives, including a Housing Affordability Strategy, Ethnic Affairs Strategy and a Greenhouse Gas Reduction Strategy, achieving carbon neutrality. During my term I debated and participated in around 3000 decisions and for each and every one read all available background reports and briefing papers.
