I am an Urban Planner with more than 20 years’ experience in private consultancy and Local Government, both in Australia and the United Kingdom. I specialise in development facilitation (development approvals), with a considerable range and depth of experience in most urban planning matters and particularly in relation to site specific land use planning and statutory planning.I was part of the initial intake of employees when the Urbis Brisbane office commenced 1999, and re-joined Urbis in 2012 after spending nearly 10 years living in London, where I established a planning consultancy business in addition to gaining exposure to key projects within the public sector.I've developed a detailed understanding of the factors influencing land use planning and the impacts these have on development projects. My particular expertise includes providing specialist town planning advice covering site and development appraisal and feasibility, promotion of development applications, and supporting documentation, negotiation, representations to planning policy documents, public consultation exercises, and preparation of development facilitation strategies.I'm also skilled in the preparation of due diligence advice for major developments, property portfolios, and redevelopment sites, the preparation and compilation of complex planning applications and the management of the planning approval process.
