Students for Rubio was one of the largest student political organizations of the 2016 presidential election cycle. Consisting of around 10,000 students, Students for Rubio sought to help elect Senator Marco Rubio as President of the United States. In the areas surrounding existing Students for Rubio chapters, voter turnout for Senator Rubio was notably high. Within the organization, there were state divisions. I was the Vice Chair for the state of Illinois. In Illinois, we led the Illinois division of Students for Rubio to becoming one of the largest state divisions. In this position, I helped coordinate with the State Chair to form and manage university chapters across the state and to help facilitate student efforts toward campaign events such as rallies, door-to-door voter contact, phone banking, and community events.
