Ever since I was a child, I was always called, "the animal whisperer." The first moment I set foot in a veterinary hospital, I knew it was where I belonged. I have shaped my entire life around animals and their humans. I have spent the last decade learning, teaching, and loving veterinary medicine and everything that comes along with it. I love going to work every day and learning something new. I love working with clients to ensure their pets receive the best care possible. I love teaching the new generation of technicians and assistants. I love being able to go home at night (or in the morning after an overnight) knowing that I have made a difference in someone's world. It sounds cliche, but I look forward to going to work, every single day. I strive to create a positive working environment for every team member. I can almost always be found with a smile on my face, and words of encouragement for my teammates, our clients, and patients. This field can be incredibly exhausting - anyone in Veterinary Medicine can attest to that, but I believe that all it takes is one person's kindness to make it through the hardest of days. Over the years I have honed my skills; from placing IV catheters in the most critical patients, anesthesia on non-stable patients, placing NG tubes in the smallest of parvo patients, on-the-go advanced medical math, training, running an intern and extern program, performing CPR - to team-leading, helping maintain regulatory compliance, conflict resolution, expert client and patient care, team-building, and supervising a team of assistants, technicians, and receptionists. When I am not working, I can almost certainly be found spending time with my own furry babies, curled up with a good book, or binging a new series with my fiancé.
