Brittan Acres Elementary School

• Provides one-on-one support to a mainstreamed 2nd grade Autistic spectrum disorder student by implementing a behavioral plan established through his IEP. • Attends weekly team meetings as well as IEP meetings to address student’s progress. • In addition, provides educational, life skills, and behavioral instruction to a 4th grade student with Down syndrome by implementing curriculum and goals provided by the student’s special education teacher, speech and language pathologist, and occupational therapist.

As a Dietary Services Supervisor Trainee, I trained under my Training Manager how to run and operate a kitchen and its staff at a nursing home facility. In addition to learning the various jobs within the kitchen, I learned management rolls including budget management, inventory collection and reordering food/supplies, employee management including discipline, collaboration among all department heads, patient/resident relations, and clinical charting.Although my first job out of college was a terrific experience, I learned that food service management is not a life-long career for me. I decided to complete my training program but left the company shortly after.
