Prior to this appointment, I was the BARR Program Specialist, WASC/Strategic Planning writer, and MTSS Project Lead for Eisenhower High School in Rialto, California. I regularly guest lecture for USC Rossier School of Education and have also for Azusa Pacific University.After completing my studies at USC, I obtained my Administrative Services Credential via CPACE examinations. I am confident in my ability to work with adult learners and look forward to the opportunity to help teachers improve upon their practices to build more equitable campuses. I possess a Single Subject French, Multiple Subject, and Administrative services credential. I have been trained to instruct IB French (SL) and administer IB CAS curriculum, recipient of AP, BARR, and GATE training. I have also obtained CA MTSS Certification at the Administrator and Teacher pathways.I previously spent 7 years in the Azusa Unified School District as the Azusa High School French I-IV Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate teacher. I was privileged to be part of the team that established the prestigious International Baccalaureate at Azusa High School and I acted as the school site's International Baccalaureate Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) Coordinator.Aside from teaching, I have been busy in my own educational pursuits. I am proud that I have created a curriculum entitled "Accommodating Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students in the Mainstream Classroom" while attending the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. Under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Yates, I was able to successfully complete my dissertation and defend it in January of 2018 and was nominated for Dissertation of the Year.
