I take part in the everyday duties of a movie theater. Alongside a group of other house staff members, we make sure theaters are clean and orderly, while also meeting customer service expectations. We are responsible for the arrangement, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere of the theater, making us the face of the daily operation of the Jacob Burns Film Center.

Suny Purchase College

As the PR Manager at Purchase College's student-run radio station, I work hand in hand with the director when it comes to booking and planning events, alongside creating promotional content for those events. I am responsible for creating an online presence for the radio station, primarily highlighting Purchase's vast live music scene.As the Archivist, I give students the opportunity to intern and help out with the physical media stored in the station for potentially decades. This includes separate collections for CDS, vinyl, cassettes, and collections for specifically student work. Creating an archive of student work helps with researching how the past submissions of the physical media have a relationship with Purchase's past. I also manage the Archival Show every week, where interns inspect the collections on-air.

As an intern, I made posters for events made by the PR Manager. Alongside the PR Manager, I was able to have a say in bookings and host musicians who came into the station for WPSR Presents, our "tiny-desk-inspired" program highlighting Purchase artists.Considering WPSR has never had an Archival Intern, I created a spreadsheet and system in order for physical media at the station to be recorded and researched the following semester.

I helped out with the archive audit, a process of recording the placement of the archive, both physically and digitally. I helped make sure all film reels already inspected and stored were saved by accession numbers, placement, and content, so someone in the future could be able to save themselves some confusion. I was able to also get involved with work on VHS and U-Matic.
