Camila Leporace is a journalist and PhD in Education. She is a researcher in artificial intelligence from the perspective of human cognition; a postgraduate lecturer and speaker. She carried out her doctoral research at PUC-Rio, Brazil, and the University of Coimbra, Portugal, in 2019-2023. Her research is based on a methodology that combines the critical analysis of educational technologies with the philosophy of cognition. In May 2024, she launched her book ‘Algoritmosfera - A cognição humana e a inteligência artificial’ (Algorithmsphere - Human cognition and artificial intelligence), published by Hucitec (São Paulo) and PUC-Rio (Brazil). The book is part of the scientific dissemination strategy that Camila undertook to communicate her doctoral research results, which also includes lectures ( a highlight being TEDx Niterói 2024), lives, an extension course implemented at PUC-Rio, an ebook, a blog and content for social networks.She is experienced in scientific communication, writing, proofreading and editing texts and content for various media, and works on the following themes/areas: climate change, health, digital technologies, disinformation, media education and artificial intelligence.Camila considers her main talent to be to connect: ideas, skills, people, areas of knowledge. Connecting research and practice. Transferring skills from academia to everyday life. And translating the complex into simple language so that it reaches the most varied audiences. She does this by working at the interface between communication, education and technologies. When leading teams, Camila is democratic and values diversity.
