Camila Leporace is a journalist and PhD in Education. She is a researcher in artificial intelligence from the perspective of human cognition; a postgraduate lecturer and speaker. She carried out her doctoral research at PUC-Rio, Brazil, and the University of Coimbra, Portugal, in 2019-2023. Her research is based on a methodology that combines the critical analysis of educational technologies with the philosophy of cognition. In May 2024, she launched her book ‘Algoritmosfera - A cognição humana e a inteligência artificial’ (Algorithmsphere - Human cognition and artificial intelligence), published by Hucitec (São Paulo) and PUC-Rio (Brazil). The book is part of the scientific dissemination strategy that Camila undertook to communicate her doctoral research results, which also includes lectures ( a highlight being TEDx Niterói 2024), lives, an extension course implemented at PUC-Rio, an ebook, a blog and content for social networks.She is experienced in scientific communication, writing, proofreading and editing texts and content for various media, and works on the following themes/areas: climate change, health, digital technologies, disinformation, media education and artificial intelligence.Camila considers her main talent to be to connect: ideas, skills, people, areas of knowledge. Connecting research and practice. Transferring skills from academia to everyday life. And translating the complex into simple language so that it reaches the most varied audiences.
