During my volunteered time I taught interactive lessons of English at a rural school near Kandy, Sri Lanka. I was able to help children of ages 5- 12 years old learn English through verbal interactive lessons. I applied a program in which the children were encouraged to play, think for themselves and question. I encourage questions and creativity. Through dance, art, games and lessons of daily tasks I witness as dramatic change in their ability to understand the language. During the program I also encouraged teacher to teach English lesson in English as it was essential for children to hear the language in order to learn it.

As a design assistant at Chiara de Rege interiors I was in charge of managing small residential and commercial projects under the guidance of the head designer. I was given the task of sourcing, putting together mood boards and PowerPoint presentations for clients. I managed budgets for each project and schedules. Along with my work as a design assistant I managed the head designers schedule of meetings and managed small office tasks.

As a design specialist at Pottery Barn I offer my services in interior design and event planning. As I team we either have a in store consultation or we go into the client's home to create an adequate floor plan and to better understand the space of the client.

At Arcabi firm in Florence, Italy I worked as a intern. In the part-time position I had along with my school I managed to work on a small project learning and improving my CAD and SketchUp and learning how a job is presented in a real life project.

I was the personal assistant of Daniela Rojas, the former owner of Cafe Secret a Peruvian restaurant in del Mar, San Diego. I helped Daniela run errands, walk her dog, help her with light paperwork and organization.

At European Tile Art I worked as the receptionist to the store. I picked up calls, took messages, greeted and entertained customers and I helped with small projects around the store. Trish and Candice were two interior designer running the store with very busy schedules.
