I am an abstract expressionist artist influenced by the Washington Color School movement of the 1950s. My work is often very colorful, combining broad gestures with varied mark making on medium and large canvases. I primarily use acrylic paint, along with oil pastels and marker. Accepted into 18 gallery exhibitions in the last two years, my work has become an exciting contribution to the art scene in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. I am a member of Ch/Art (Chevy Chase Art) and the Women's Caucus For Art in DC. My artistic education has developed since 2011, with various courses from the Alexandria Art League and the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo Park.
