As the founder of Super Navigators, she has spent the last two decades empowering individuals to navigate their lives while helping organisations create flexible, inclusive work cultures that accommodate different chronotypes and family structures. Her work spans Europe, China, Latin America and the Middle East, working with global companies such as Abbott, Medtronic, Roche and Novo Nordisk. Camilla's insights have been featured in the New York Times, the BBC and the Guardian. She is the author of six books and a TEDx speaker.Camilla combines research in work-life balance and circadian rhythms. She specializes in work and life design for morning people and evening people. Her new book “Chronoleadership” will be published March 2025. In 2006, she founded the B-Society, whose mission is to increase the quality of life and productivity of B-persons (late risers) by creating later start times in schools and workplaces. We need to break away from the 9 to 5 society and its lack of respect for B-persons. Quality of life, health, infrastructure and productivity would all improve if we allowed people to work hours that match their circadian rhythms. The B-Society has members in 50 countries. Today the B-Society has members in 50 countries.Being a late riser in an early riser society has a negative impact on your health, academic achievement and career. We need to break free from 8 to 5 society and its lack of respect for B-people's circadian rhythms. Quality of life, health, infrastructure and productivity would all improve if we offered people work hours matching their circadian rhythms. In a knowledge-based society getting up early in the morning is no longer what is important. Instead it is about working when you are most productive. The educational system is designed to A-persons but young people are B-persons. School discriminates against B-persons. Research shows that a later starting time in schools gives more sleep and higher grades. In the last 16 years I have worked with organisations in 17 countries. I’m specialised in creating flexible work cultures that support our differences in family forms, work forms and biological rhythms. I have identified following four barriers to a flexible workplace:1) It is taboo to meet after 9 – a productive person meets early. 2) Leaders tend to favour A-persons (early risers) – those who arrive at the office early.3) Flex time with fixed hours. You have to be in the office between 9 and 3. That is not flexible at all. 4) Your own mindset. Are you willing to set yourself free from your inner farmer? Show less -
