Having recently joined the organization, I am working closely with the Founder and CEO to develop or 2020-2022 strategy aiming at both maximizing our social impact on our current students as well as laying the foundations to scale. • Resolve Foundation
Head Of Development / Head Of Programs
    Resolve Foundation Aug 2017 - May 2019

I joined Resolve Foundation from its earliest stages, first as volunteer Head of Development and later as one of the first staff members, as Head of Programs. Resolve being a new initiative, I actively contributed in bringing in new supporters, sponsors and funders to ensure dynamic but sustainable growth. I was mostly responsible for maximizing Resolve's organizational and programmatic development so the start-up could grow in line with our constituents’ needs and priorities. I notably took lead responsibility for and successfully delivered Resolve's launch event, its Everyday Racism campaign, the enhancement of the fellowship program in its second cycle and the design and implementation of a new impact assessment framework. Working along our Founder & CEO and Board of Directors, I laid the foundations for the organization to make Hong Kong more inclusive through the empowerment of emerging community leaders in the spaces of racial and gender equality.

  • Cambodian Center For Independant Media
Head Of Projects Department / M&E And Fundraising Manager
Cambodian Center For Independant Media May 2013 - Apr 2015
    Phnom Penh, Cambodia
First hired as CCIM’s M&E and Fundraising Manager, I recruited, structured and managed a 5 staff international team that was in charged of submitting funding proposals to a wide range of public and private (Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), International Republican Institute (IRI), DanChurchAid-ChristianAid (DCA-CA), Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, Open Society Institute (OSI), United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDF), European Instrument for Democracy & Human Rights). Over the 17 proposals that were submitted under my supervision, 60 % were successful and contributed to more than 1 million € to CCIM’s core and projects’ budget. To maximize CCIM’s projects’ and reports’ quality, I systematized the NGO’s M&E tools and procedures and build the staff related capacities. I also led a participatory process aiming at designing and implementing a 3 years Fundraising Strategy in accordance with CCIM’s Strategic Management Plan for 2014-2016. The Fundraising Strategy led CCIM’s Board of Director to create a new Projects Department to the Head of which I was promoted, thus joining the organization’s Senior Management Team. Leading a team of 5 Cambodian Project Managers, I supervised the implementation, the monitoring and the evaluation of 7 projects on human rights and democratic governance. As a member of the Senior Management Team, I actively participated in strategic and operational decisions. I remarkably conducted an internal need assessment on gender equality and women empowerment and develop an action plan accordingly. I also played an active role as CCIM’s spokesperson to media and external stakeholders such national and local authorities, the private sector as well as NGOs and CBOs.

  • Edf Renewable Energy
Research Officer - Risks And Sustainable Development Department
Edf Renewable Energy Jul 2008 - Sep 2008
    France
I created and tested an analytical framework to compare the international norms and tools realated to large dams’ social impacts; such as Social Impact Assessments, Social Management Plans and Resettlement Actions Plans. I was asked to present the conclusions of my research in a article co-writing with the researcher Stéphane Labranche. The article was published by the Canadian International Journal in 2010 ("The internalization of participation norms by international organizations: The case of sustainable development and dams") and awarded in 2011 as the best article of the journal.ABSTRACT : The process of internalisation of norms within different institutions is not homogenous, its speed and depth depending on several factors. Using the case of sustainable development in dams, this article analyses actors – here, dam promoters – whose institutional or disciplinary culture does not lend them to easily take these norms into account. The hypothesis is that the “identity” and the disciplinary or ideological capacity of these “technical” institutions play an important role in the internalisation of non technical, social, norms. This follows Young’s recent arguments concerning the role the internal structure of international institutions plays in internalising and spreading environmental norms.
