PALS is a formal internship program that offers a broad overview of interdisciplinary, student leadership while linking aspects from mainstream student government and cultural/ethnic studies primarily pertinent to the Pilipinx and Asian American experiences.- PALS focuses on providing Executive Interns the opportunity to partake in project planning and execution alongside Cabinet Board members in order to gain practical and "in-the-field" experience that they may draw upon in future endeavors. Executive Interns will also be able to attend Cabinet and Senate Conferences and participate in 1-1 mentorship with current cabinet members while shadowing them.

STEP (Samahang Teaching through Experience Program) Internship is a 2-unit, lower division class that provides a space for students to understand how identity and culture play a role in personal and community retention. Interns will understand the barriers to retention, trends of communities, and how SPEAR (Samahang Pilipino Education and Retention) addresses retention difficulties through its different components. STEP provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience within the project, becoming empowered leaders within the communtity.
