Camille's journey into the world of fitness and healthcare began during her high school years as a dedicated track athlete. This experience ignited a passion within her, propelling her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The College of William & Mary in 2004. During her time there, Camille also served as an Athletic Training Intern, gaining valuable experience with football, women's lacrosse, and field hockey. After graduating, Camille embarked on a 13-year journey as a personal trainer, continuously refining her skills and becoming a specialist in strength and conditioning for injury prevention. She furthered her expertise by obtaining certification in Functional Movement Systems, which ultimately led her to focus on helping endurance athletes excel while staying injury-free, earning her a reputation as the go-to trainer in her region.Camille's pivotal moment came when one of her running clients expressed a preference for her over their physical therapist. This revelation highlighted a gap in the care athletes were receiving in clinical settings compared to her gym-based approach. Determined to bridge this divide, Camille pursued a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mary Baldwin University in 2020. Her mission is to merge the worlds of fitness and medicine, using functional movement assessment, manual therapy, and integrative movement techniques to unlock her patients' full potential.Beyond her professional endeavors, Camille's commitment to endurance sports spans two decades, encompassing adventure racing, mountain biking, trail running, rock climbing, whitewater canoeing, road cycling, and hiking. She has participated in various races, understanding that the true value lies not just in reaching the finish line but in the challenges faced along the way.Today, Camille, alongside her husband, a Chesterfield firefighter, shares their love for the James River Park System and the Blue Ridge Mountains with their two sons. When they're not busy upgrading their minivan for their next camping adventure, you can often spot the family paddleboarding at Huguenot Flats or cycling to Forest Hill Park, enjoying life to the fullest.
