Spent time at 3D Systems in Raleigh, NC with software development team to innovate laser part reverse engineering techniques. Facilitated numerous audits including AS9100 rev D and companies first NADCAP certification. Instron destructive testing software programming for composite’s testing to meet NADCAP and AS standards. Interacting daily with government QAR’s and commercial aviation project teams to enable daily sales of parts to meet monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets. Created numerous net new and maintained all existing account relationships to ensure quality OTIF delivery.

Team lead for 9 experienced aerospace engineers. Liaising with SLT to develop and forecast strategies so that the department is to successfully meet customers expectations (Airbus, Dassault). I played a large role in the Highlift Lean Transformation of the department to enable the department to meet ACE bronze certification and progress onwards toward ACE silver certification. I also carried out numerous training courses for members of the team to enable them to carry out more in depth roles within the department and make our processes more efficient using my own skills and experience. Within my time as team lead, I was asked regularly to carry out duties above and beyond my position to enable the successful meeting of important deadlines to be met to appease customer satisfaction and on time in full delivery statistics (OTIF). Whilst carrying out this role, I developed excellent organisational skills working under immense pressure to meet expectations for myself, the team and on site and off site senior leadership teams within the U.K. and worldwide.

In my role at United Technologies, I spent time working on numerous different products within the aerospace industry, largely focusing on actuation systems and transmission systems for airbus A319, A320, A321, A340, A380, A400 Military and Dassault Falcon. I spent a large amount of time using highly accurate mechanical fitting techniques to build the components before learning numerous different actuation tests to ensure components met stringent industry and customer standards. I also spent time in a role as a final verifier to ensure these aerospace components met industry quality standards and specifications. Within this role, I liaised with numerous different suppliers and customers on quality clinics to ensure our processes and components met drawing and customer requirements. Whilst carrying out these duties, I became familiar with the usage of programs such as Cimage and SAP.

(Trescal @ Collins Aerospace) Efficient and experienced in all forms of calibration and metrology conducted on site and off site including pressure, flow, load, torque, speed, displacement, temperature, mechanical standards, current, and voltage. Working in an aerospace and military environment, I became used to dealing with highly sensitive and confidential materials. I gained a lot of experience working in the field as a test rig engineer working in military, production and development situations. I expanded my skill set by becoming proficient in the use of a CMM using software Mitutoyo Mcosmos v.2.4 as a metrology tool. I became efficient and competent programming the CMM and operating the CMM, being able to conduct first article inspections, deciding which measurement tools would be most accurate for the specific job. At points throughout my development at Trescal, I was asked by different team managers to pass on my knowledge of certain calibrations onto other members of the department and lead them in the calibration of the instruments and test rigs. Throughout my time Trescal, entrusted me to work off site on production and military bases throughout Europe. As part of my development at Trescal, I was required to lead both lean and 5s methodologies on site.
