Served as a liaison between citizens and staff of Tribal Nations and National Parks Service/NCPE project coordinators to transfer traditional knowledge to better understand values and perceptions of traditional use areas/archaeological sites, climate change impacts, and strategies for climate adaptation.

Organized and managed both the annual SKC Foundation Golf Scramble and the annual Youth Golf Camp. During this internship I strengthened my skills related to planning and logistics associated with both events, prepared marketing and outreach materials, and gained experience with onsite event facilitation and fundraising.

Carried out receptionist duties such as answering phone calls, filing paperwork, creating files and labels. Assisted in planning and logistics associated with events. Developed clerical skills applicable to any professional environment. I also developed new skills related to hosting a fundraising event.

Assisted Aaron Brien (Salish Kootenai College Faculty) and Dr. Kelly Dixon (University of Montana Faculty) on a project for the American Battlefield Protection Program. During my internship I was responsible for digitizing and documenting interviews with elders, U of M archival materials collected from various ethnographers, and old manuscripts. The purpose behind this ethnography research was intended to preserve and perpetuate tribal oral history as well as for the purpose of protecting the Arrow Creek Battlefield (Pryor Mountains).
