Graduated in Conservation - Restoration of polychrome sculpture at the University of Antwerp (2000), Camille De Clercq has been a scientific assistant at the Conservation Department of the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage of Brussels (KIK-IRPA) since 2005. She coordinates research and pilot projects for the conservation of polychrome stone sculpture in the period 1400-1700 in the Low Countries and has published several articles on these topics.The KIK IRPA Stone Sculpture Conservation Studio mainly works for churches, museums, public collections and listed monuments but they can also work for private collectors when a work of art is of high quality and displays a major research interest.The Conservation studio carry out many different assignments. On the one hand, we give advise to owners and ensure the conservation of works of art in situ. On the other hand, we study the objects and proceed to the conservation and/or restoration treatment within the workshop. Finally, we narrow the scientific research in collaboration with the art historians from the Documentation Department and the chemists from the laboratories. Show less
