I have been in the food service industry for almost two years at Drake’s in Bristol, the very first place I was employed. I have also volunteered at organizations such as the Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired, United Way, and the First Church of God. Through these experiences, I have gained community involvement and multi-tasking skills, as well as strong senses of loyalty and hard work. Working in direct public relations has allowed me to hone in on skills pertaining to communication and service that will aid in my time as an educator once I receive my undergraduate degree, as well as graduate degrees. I am pursuing education because of the interests and passions I have gained while volunteering at these organizations with children of all backgrounds, prompting an emphasis on advocating for the lives of children that I will encounter along my path as an educator.
