Development of Novel Communication Protocols for Embedded Systems for IoT applications.

Master Thesis project developed in Logitech Europe R&D oriented to develop the software infrastructure in Windows 8 to explore the potential of a novel Human Computer Interaction device, based on the software integration of two peripheral devices with different communication protocols. This included the development of drivers for Bluetooth Low Energy devices, software integration of in-house modules, prototyping, validation via user tests, product design and usability and requirements analysis. Languages and tools: C#, C++, .NET, COM, TDD, User Mode Drivers Framework, Windows Portable Devices. Communication Protocols: Bluetooth and Bluetooth LE.

My contribution consisted of coding tests in SystemVerilog to validate the design of a microprocessor by generating excitation patterns and checking the desired output. I used the tests to debug the prototype as part of my designer work. My design methodology was oriented to create tests that could be reused with future models, which was considered a valuable feature. This activities were developed as part of my work as one of the Design for Testability Validation owners at Intel Corp.Languages and tools: C++, SystemVerilog, Perl, OVM, GIT, CATS.

Design and implementation of a Tx/Rx system for wireless transmission of power and data. The system uses the RFID frequency band 13.56 MHz, to power an isolated circuit. The receiver uses the power of the income carrier to transmit a 100 kHz clock signal via charge coupling.

Collaborated in a future proposal for computer memories, by analyzing the magnetic anisotropies in nanoparticles of Mn dispersed in a GaAs matrix.

Developed instrumentation for material’s science research on the effects of high pressure over the system EuYbGa4.
