Operations Planner in support to USACE for the Calf Canyon Hermits Peak wildfire response in Las Vegas NM.AshBritt, as part of the North Wind - AshBritt Team, is proud to support USACE on this important mission. From the Albuquerque District, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers:USACE-Albuquerque District began removing post-wildfire debris in Rociada, New Mexico, Aug. 15, with help from debris removal experts from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and Los Angeles District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Devastating wildfires — the largest in New Mexico’s history — swept though the northern part of the state during spring and early summer this year. Teams are working every day of the week after receiving a mission assignment from FEMA for private property debris removal in San Miguel and Mora counties.

Hurricane Irma (2017): AshBritt was the debris removal contractor for all of Collier County, Florida. This was the largest debris removal project conducted in response to Hurricane Irma. In addition to removing 3,600,000 cubic yards of debris, AshBritt removed HHW, white goods, marine debris, hazardous trees, and provided debris management site services, emergency push, vac trucks, meals ready to eat, and port-o-lets. AshBritt conducted a marine debris removal mission from over 40 canals throughout Collier County, FL in response to Hurricane Irma. AshBritt collected 13,000 cubic yards of marine debris. AshBritt utilized various types of boats with grapples attached to them to remove the debris from the waterway and then unload the debris from the boat into a collection truck. This project was a challenging debris removal mission in response to Hurricane Irma due to numerous logistical factors requiring specialized equipment to work in and throughout the area. AshBritt also conducted emergency road clearance operations for the USACE following Hurricane Irma’s landfall in Florida. AshBritt mobilized crews both locally from within the State of Florida as well as crews from as far away as Jackson, Mississippi to ensure resources were provided to complete this mission.

Hidalgo County Texas floods (2018): AshBritt oversaw the relocation of flood waters from multiple low-lying communities throughout the County through the utilization of Super Vac Trucks and pumps.
