Consulting in projects involving multiple stakeholders such as the Latin America chapter of the Network of Southern Think Tanks (NeST LATAM) and the triangular cooperation between DfID Brazil, the Brazilian Cooperation Agency and third African countries (the Impact and scalability study of “Agricultural Innovation Marketplace”).

To prepare the assessment study “Piloting the Voluntary Guidelines for Triangular Cooperation - Country Studies: Colombia, Indonesia and South Africa”, together with Prof. Paulo Esteves (lead researcher) to the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC). This work provided knowledge products to GPEDC’s Action Area 2.2 (Triangular Co-operation for Sustainable Development) and was funded by the Department of Global Affairs (GAC), Govt of Canada. The final products consisted of three country-case studies departing from triangular cooperation programs and projects in Colombia (under the topic of Eradicating Female Genital Mutilation), Indonesia (Capacity Development for Poverty Reduction in Rural Areas) and South Africa (Science and Innovation and Regional Entrepreneurship); besides a roadmap for mainstreaming the GPEDC Voluntary Guidelines. Main activities included: 1. Development of assessment instruments such as evidence matrix and interview script;2. Collection, systematization and analysis of general documentation on the case studies' programs and projects; 3. Coordination of a small team of research assistants (3 in total);4. Participation in meetings between the assessment team and funders; 5. Scheduling and conducting interviews with focal points from executing agencies and partner countries; 6. Management of contacts with evaluation focal points, in order to clarify doubts and make course corrections when necessary; 7. Elaboration of the case study reports; 8. Provision of analytical inputs for the main evaluation results (project and final reports, and roadmap).

Independent consultancy (contract) to prepare the Case Study on “South-South Cooperation in Technical Training: The Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) and the National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI)”, carried out within the scope of Articulação Sul’s mid-term evaluation for ABC - “BRA / 13/008 - Consolidation of South-South Technical Cooperation”. The elaboration of the case study involved a review of documents and literature related to the ABC-SENAI partnership, in addition to conducting interviews at ABC, at the implementing agency in Brazil, and in partner countries. Main activities included:1. Collection, systematization and analysis of general documentation on the case study subprojects;2. Participation in meetings with the assessment team;3. Scheduling and conducting interviews with ABC focal points, implementing agencies in Brazil and partner countries;4. Completion of instruments such as evidence matrix and interview script;5. Elaboration of the case study report;6. Maintaining contact with evaluation focal points to remove doubts and make course corrections when necessary;7. Provision of analytical inputs for the main evaluation results (draft and final reports).

Lecturer at the International Relations Institute, Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, as part of the teaching internship of the doctoral program. Course: Special Topics in International Cooperation for Development (Professional Practice), to the undergraduate course in International Relations.

Tutor in the axis of research in International Cooperation, at the Program of Tutorial Education (PET/TEPP) at PUC-Rio’s International Relations Institute.

Main duties included research, write and review texts on international development cooperation, as well as to make interviews, map, systematize and analyze existing data to prepare an external evaluation to the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID), and the organization of the first Dialogue on International Development Cooperation.

Main activities included research and monitoring the Venezuelan political and social conflicts; the production and revision of texts and publications on international conflict mediation; the publication and dissemination of the research group activities on social media (Facebook, website); and the organization of GSUM’s events.
