CPAG is comprised of over 140 voluntary patient advocacy agencies representing 19 NIH funded consortia who are active participants in the Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network (RDCRN), a program of the Office of Rare Diseases Research at the National Institutes of Health. CPAGs mission is to facilitate the creation of strong collaborative research networks that include researchers, government agencies, patient advocacy groups and industry in order to accelerate research in rare disorders and deliver desperately needed therapies and treatments to patients.
