My role at UniSA involves designing and developing Appian applications for several business areas across the University. This involves using MySQL to create database tables and views and Appian to create interfaces, expressions and processes. I resolve issues raised for various Appian applications, including bug fixes, additional features, and changes, and work collaboratively with other developers to solve problems and brainstorm application designs.

My position at St Louis Home Care was primarily an ICT support technician however, being the sole on-site IT worker, I often also performed systems and network administration tasks in Windows Server and Office 365 environments. I frequently troubleshooted issues on Windows computers, Android/iOS mobile devices, printers, and other office equipment, in person and over the phone. I ran numerous training sessions for the use of various desktop and mobile applications with office staff and care workers. I also developed a .NET Windows Form application to assist the rostering team with calculating travel time between carers and clients. This application was built primarily in C# and JavaScript and integrated with an existing database from the company’s staff and client management system and utilized the Google Maps APIs to calculate results.

During my placement at DSTG I researched distributed decision making algorithms in the context of countering unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and modified an OpenAI counter UAS gym environment to accommodate the analysis of these algorithms. I later implemented the Consensus-Based Bundle Algorithm (CBBA) in the gym environment and compared the results to previous research.
