He invites discussion while also volunteering to lead efforts if there is a need. One of my favorite experiences with Collin was working with him to migrate an older system to a newer platform. We faced many problems ranging from lack of documentation to a lack of support for local development on the older system. Collin was new to the company at the time but was able to assess the situation and take complete charge over revamping the development environment while onboarding several members of our team to the newer technology stack. This heavily improved our efficiency and allowed us to complete the project much quicker than expected. During that effort Collin demonstrated proactiveness, teamwork, and the ability to be a great teacher.
