I love to dig into complex problems and solve them with modern technology that the whole team can understand and build upon. I focus on identifying clear goals, choosing the right technologies, and quickly adapting along the way.Throughout my career I have been focused on building resilient software that can scale and is designed for failure. To accomplish this I have taken advantage of modern containerization techniques, messaging queues, and serverless functions along with CI/CD pipelines to ensure everything works together.Working in the financial and healthcare space has given me the opportunity to help achieve PCI-DSS, SOC2 and HIPAA compliance. To accomplish this I've focused on building security and process checks directly into the development pipeline, empowering the entire team to participate.Some of my favourite technologies and frameworks right now are Nx, NestJS, Angular, and Pulumi. On AWS I've been working with ECS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS, and Aurora among many others. For CI/CD I've been working with GitHub Actions and Jenkins, with Snyk integrated for security checks. In production, I work with Datadog and the AWS suite to monitor and alert on anomalies and outages. I love picking up new skills, frameworks, and technologies so I'm always on the lookout for the next great thing.
