I am a non executive director and shareholder at auction house Lyon and Turnbull. Part of a team of five who founded the company over twenty years ago, although its history stretches back to 1826.Am now a consultant. I like to keep in contact with the many clients and friends I have met over thirty years in this profession. I now have more time for other voluntary interests which include being a director at The Merchants House of Glasgow, which has given £2.5million in charitable grants over the past five years, a Trustee of a small charitable trust, The Kells Trust.We have also been patrons of National Museums of Scotland, Scottish Ballet, Scottish Ensemble, The collective and Dundee's V and A for some years. And much enjoy our involvement with these Arts organisations.For seven years I served as Strathclyde chairman of the Art Fund. I have more time these days for our 3 acre garden and dog walking here in Fife. Only now that my face to face social interactions are limited have I come to value the worth of modern technologies as a new means of interaction.
