I set up a new "greenfield" high precision manufacturing facility outside Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to supply the global directional drilling market. Grew the facility to over 100,000 sq. ft to satisfy growing customer demand and brought it to profitability within 3 years.Our Group* produces specialised non magnetic material and high precision components.

Managed a precision Manufacturing and Service facilty in Aberdeen which serviced the Directional Drilling Industry along with establishing a subsidiary facility in Noyabrsk, West Siberia. Both business seen combined revenue growth of 350% during this period with an even higher uplift in profitability.*Part of the Schoeller Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment Group.

Start up of the Healthcare Manufacturing and Outfitting division, ESA Healthcare. Specialising in FFE within hospitals, health centres and laboratories.

As Division of BI Group I was seconded to Forth Tool & Valve. I started working on engineering projects related to inconel clad pipe and fittings. Later worked as General Manager of the ITS Tooling Division manufacturing controlled boring equipment for the machine tool industry and machine tool users in oil & gas and aerospace. Finally took over as MD.

BI Group owns several specialist engineering companies within oil and gas, aerospace and medical sectors. I spent time working with some of the precision engineering companies on installation of capital equipment, CAD/CAM systems and production engineering processes.

Worked with Sedco Forex as Rig Engineer when part of Schlumberger. Spent time working land rigs in France and Offshore Rigs in North Sea, particularly Sedco 711.
