University Leadership Initiative is a student youth-led organization based at The University of Texas at Austin who advocates and uplifts the voices and experiences of the immigrant community. We build leaders by working with Austin area lawyers, meeting with representatives, organizing press conferences, partnering with other Austin organizations, and much more.• Maintained and trained volunteers on Quickbase, United We Dream's database used for community outreach• Recruited for volunteers to aid in the process of applying for legal executive actions• Lead DACA Clinics to over 250 youth in the Austin area apply for or renew their Deferred Action Status in a period of two years

Workers Defense Project is a non-profit in the Austin area who helps workers fight against wage theft and other worker's rights. They received a grant to work with the undocumented community and educate them about DACA and DAPA (executive actions presented by President Barack Obama). I was one of the two team members. • Worked with another paralegal to host weekly informational sessions on the DACA and DAPA executive actions• I submitted 3 DACA applications to USCIS from eligible clients• Presented in front of the community and conducted intakes to determine potential eligibility for the Executive Actions

Dobie Middle School

• Oversaw tutoring groups in a middle school to ensure that they helped each other• Graded students based on their effort prior to the tutoring session and participation during the session• Worked with the teacher to improve the tutoring groups based on the students' knowledge levels
