I am currently a student at NC State University's Wilson College of Textiles, studying Fashion and Textile Management with a concentration in Brand Management and Marketing. Along with my current studies, I have gained some real-world insight on the fashion industry with my experience working as a sales associate for an incredible fashion retailer and company, Nordstrom, and through my current position as a merchandiser for Evereve. Through my experience I have gained some valuable skills to take on a career in the fashion industry. I have learned the importance of customer service, both in-store and online. My experience owning a few different Etsy businesses has allowed me to see the value of assisting a customer with e-commerce and online purchases. I have also learned the importance of organization, aesthetics, and planning through my current position as a merchandiser. Since I was a young girl, I have had a strong entrepreneurial spirit, always looking for a creative outlet that would allow me to fulfill this characteristic. One of my proudest accomplishments was the kid's summer camp I started, in my backyard, as a ten-year-old. This camp continued until I was about nineteen, and grew in many ways over time. Although you could just as well call this babysitting, I have a great sense of love for how this camp came to be and how esteemed it is by my friends and community. Post-graduation, I am looking for a career that allows me to incorporate my entrepreneurial spirit, creative mind, and my degree in Fashion and Textile Management.
