Hey Linkedin!I am Can (John) Turk, an electrical engineering graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University and a dedicated and versatile problem-solver, always seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. My experience as a PnR Software Debugger and Automations Co-op at AMD allowed me to build experience in software debugging, using tools like ICC2, Fusion Compiler, and Innovus. In that role, I addressed a wide range of software issues and drove automation projects that improved workflow efficiency.My technical skill set is diverse, spanning programming languages (JavaScript and Python), EDA tools (Innovus, ICC2), version control (Git and Perforce), and more. I'm comfortable working with Unix and as a hobby I've even delved into the world of web development and Websockets.Outside of my professional life, I've volunteered for the role of Controls Designer at Ryerson Rams Robotics, collaborating on board design using EAGLE CAD. My experience volunteering as a high school math tutor further sharpened my communication skills.My passion for technology and programming extends into personal projects, such as creating an AI for Tetris, developing real-time multiplayer games, and tens of other small random experiments in computer science and video game development too numerous to list. I'm always looking for opportunities to apply my academic knowledge, like using digital signal processing in my hobby of electronic music production.With a blend of technical proficiency and hands-on experience, I'm excited to make a meaningful impact in the fields of electrical engineering, software development, and beyond.
