Laura focuses her practice in the areas of corporate and real estate law, as well as, construction, franchising, regulatory compliance, and commercial litigation.  Laura’s first career, as a successful entrepreneur who built and divested businesses in residential real estate and construction, lends her a true understanding of the challenges and rewards of business ownership.  Combining that experience with her skills as a lawyer, she provides commercial clients with legal representation that actively seeks reasonable, cost-effective solutions where possible, but is prepared to litigate when necessary.Beyond litigation, Laura has negotiated and contracted for the purchase and sale of several multi-million-dollar business ventures.  She also has handled numerous other transactions where she drafted and negotiated contracts relating to supply and distribution, sale and purchase of assets, construction, and development.  She has reviewed and negotiated real property purchases, leases, sales, and has also worked with economic development boards for concessions and incentives related to land development.  Additionally, Laura has developed experience navigating the regulations affecting her clients like labor/employment issues, safety regulations, and even cyber-security.   She has helped her clients develop policies designed to reduce liability and risk exposure, both administratively and in the field.Laura graduated Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law.
