● Listens to requester's research needs and goals to offer the appropriate histological services.● Assists and trains requesters on how to use laboratory software vis phone, email, and face-to-face. ● Responsible for the organization of and efficiency of workflow processes such as receiving samples from researchers and coordinating accurate histological techniques for their research projects.● Performs routine steps involved in the preparation of slides for researchers including embedding, microtomy, cryostat, staining, bone histology, tissue micro array, and digital slide imaging.● Troubleshoots/problem solves laboratory equipment and digital programs.● Maintains current licensure by regularly attending webinars and other training programs. ● Writes standard operation procedures (SOP's) for new or updated laboratory processes.
