Oversee the planning and implementation of human resource services in the areas of classifications and selections for the Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). As part of the OHR Management Team, I am responsible for employee development and continuous improvement efforts to ensure efficiency in the delivery of HR services, with a focus on providing exemplary customer service.

As a Human Resources Specialist with the State of Michigan Civil Service Commission, my main focus was servicing the Department of Health and Human Services with various classifications and selections issues or questions. I developed and edited position descriptions; developed and edited job specifications; created job postings; filtered applications; conducted credential reviews; conducted interviews; provided management services and took pride in providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. I enjoyed responding to any classifications and selections issues or questions that arose throughout each day. Assisting with the HR needs of a department that provides needed services to the community is a reward in itself. Assisting management with hiring highly qualified and skilled employees is the first step to a successful workforce. In the MDHHS, a successful workforce is essential to the community we service.
