As Senior Services Manager I am responsible for oversight of the delivery of our Midlothian, East Lothian and Scottish Borders Community Mental Health and Wellbeing services.

Working with the Service Manager to lead, direct and manage the day to day operations within the North East Edinburgh Recovery Hub. Providing line management support to a superb staff team working with service users on their recovery journey from alcohol and drug addition.

To contribute to the provision and maintenance of a nurturing environment in which physical, emotional, psychological, social and educational (where appropriate) needs of children and young people in care are paramount. To undertake keyworker responsibility for the care of individual children/young people and their care plan.

Based in the Civic Centre, Livingston, supporting and housing those affected by homelessness and housing issues.

In partnership with Circle, as the family wellbeing practitioner, I offer one to one support and advice for families that need more intensive support across North West Edinburgh. Each case is individual and support will be agreed with the parent(s) based upon the families needs.Support can centre upon:Emotional supportHelping to restore positive mental health and well-beingParenting supportWelfare adviceHelp with housing issuesIssues such as domestic violence and substance misuseAdvocacy at meetings and appointmentsManaging money and budgetingEducation and employment adviceIdentifying and accessing other services that may be able to help

Director of the East Lothian Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks across the UK. Based in our headquarters in Tranent, providing gold standard food provisions for those in need but also prioritising ‘more than food’ initiatives East Lothian-wide. Whilst we all hope for a future without foodbanks, it is an honour to work towards reducing food poverty and supporting the people of East Lothian.

I work within East Lothian supporting disadvantaged and at-risk 15 to 25 year olds with Independent Living needs. I provide support young people with - Independent Living Skills such as washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning, household routines etc.- Personal hygiene, personal presentation and health & safety- Budgeting support – money diaries, saving, paying bills, partnership work with Citizen's Advice Bureau and Changeworks (for energy efficiency & bills support)- Benefits and entitlement support including appeals - Support through the Homeless process including the Housing Options and Homeless Assessments with East Lothian Council- Support with the transitioning to new accommodation - from Homeless to Supported/Temporary accommodation to Permanent (or any variation thereof). Finding Private Rented accommodation, going for viewings etc. - Delivery of Borders College accredited Tenancy Award qualification - Expectant and Young Mums support groups – Parentcraft sessions covering topics such as healthy eating, breastfeeding, weaning, mental health etc.
