As a store manager I am responsible for retail and pharmacy operations. I work one on one with the district manager to align and set goals for the store and make sure senior management and the pharmacy manager implement goals to the staff. In addition to performing the assistant manager duties in lieu of having one, I am also responsible for maintaining the store and pharmacy budgets monthly, coordinating community events and parterning with organizations such as Peach State Health, Susan G. Komen, and Universities of the State of Ga., strategic sales planning, coordination of merchandise based off of sales data, annual inventory preparation, maintaining an engaging work environment for staff members, and coordinating monthly payroll hours.

I was responsible for collaborating with senior managers to assure that the company's mission, vision and goals are clearly articulated to the staff. This opportunity allowed me to develop an awareness of the importance of dominant leadership skills such as team building, systems integration and change management. I was also responsible for supervising, training and scheduling work assignments for ten (12) employees. I independently remodeled procedures for the systematic retention, safeguarding, retrieval, distribution and archiving of the stores financial records. I maintained store productivity through proficient use of appropriate computer software and by organizing and updating office operating procedures and manuals to ensure timely and efficient flow of current work processes in order to reduce customer wait time. More importantly I assessed customer needs in order to resolve complaints and concerns related to insurance conflicts and to respond to inquiries. This position allowed me to hone in on my organizational, problem solving and communication skills, as well as develop my knowledge of management theories, principles of the organization and administrative procedures to carry out my assigned responsibilities. Lastly, I was responsible for carrying out human resource duties including hiring, administering assessments, processing payroll, scheduling, and disciplinary processing.
