Event Manager

Seattle, Washington, United States

Aug 2018 - Aug 2022

Events Manager

Washington, Dc

As the Events Manager I continued to maintain records of all events with the additional responsibility of coordinating dates and time with publicists and authors to schedule their tour dates with the store. I became the main point person for all in-store events making decisions on set up and processing for more complicated signings such as the John Grisham and Kevin Hart events. Each event is unique and each author has different needs in order to execute their event to the best of their ability. It was my job to keep track of those particularities and do all I could to ensure the smooth production of each event. The average author event attendance in the store was 80 though that could range wildly depending on the profile of the author. Most notably I coordinated and managed talks and signings for: Alton Brown - EVERYDAYCOOK: Talk and signing, Attendance, 300Anderson Cooper - THE RAINBOW COMES AND GOES: Signing, Attendance, 300Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - WRITINGS ON THE WALL: Talk and signing, Attendance, 300David Sedaris - THEFT BY FINDING: Talk and signing, Attendance, 500Kevin Hart - I CAN'T MAKE THIS UP: Photo op, Attendance, 700John Grisham - CAMINO ISLAND: Talk and Signing, Attendance, 200 capped
