I played an integral role in Events DC’s Office of Contracts and Procurement; I handled cradle to grave contract lifecycle functions while managing the day-to-day operations of the contract administration group and creating a fluid and trusting environment. I was responsible for making certain all new contracts, renewals/invoices are accurate, in compliance company policy, as well as statutory regulations, and generated timely within the parameters required for internal and external deadlines. I managed a team of 6/7 contracts analysts to oversee, facilitate, draft, and negotiate contracts in support of the organization. I was also responsible for ensuring that the contract administration team is properly trained and educated on all existing/new regulations, policies & procedures, product information, systems, etc.

I was responsible for maintaining oversight of various contracts within 5 operational service units under the Office of Supply Operations. I served as technical advisory personnel to the Contract Officer Representatives (COR) when formulating procurement requests, as well during bid tabulation. I was responsible for deciding which contractual strategy to utilize for appropriate course of action. I also advised and provided guidance to the CORs in monitoring of contractual administrative actions; I guided development of evaluation criteria and source selection plans for best value and trade-off acquisitions. Most importantly, I maintained spreadsheet of acquisition plans and execution status for a bi-weekly report to Chief of OSO.
