I am a dedicated Manager of DEI Programs at KQED, where I have been leading efforts to create more diverse, inclusive, and equitable work environments for over a year. With extensive experience working in employee resource groups, serving as a DEI advisor, and building DEI coalitions, my passion lies in fostering belonging and trust in the workplace. My background in public relations, combined with my lived experience and deep knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion, allows me to effectively bridge communication across internal and external audiences.Over the past five years, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of both public relations and DEI, having worked in PR in the tech industry before fully transitioning to DEI work. To date, I’ve led over 20 workshops and training exercises focused on building more diverse, inclusive, and equitable teams. I’ve also helped organizations use curiosity, respect, and kindness as powerful tools to drive innovation, uplift individuals, and encourage success.At KQED, I spearhead initiatives that promote transparent communication and cultivate a strong sense of trust across the organization. My work centers around helping individuals and teams embrace DEI principles while fostering a culture of curiosity and respect.I hold an M.S. in Communications from Syracuse University and strive to inspire positive change by combining strategic thinking, results-driven approaches, and a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
