We Are From Dust is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to putting participatory art in public spaces. Our model is to work with clients to curate an exhibition at their space, raise money from donors and grassroots sources to fund it and pay the artists, then support the activation of community engagement around the art. Our inaugural exhibition opened in April 2019 at Point San Pablo Harbor in Richmond, CA and currently includes 5 installations from established artists whose works first appeared at Burning Man. A second exhibition is live in the UK at Ashton Court in Bristol, displaying 5 additional artworks. We have focused 2021-24 efforts to elevate Black artists mostly focused on Erin Douglas, founder of @BlackBurnerProject who brought her honorarium installation titled Black! Asé to the playa and started a new movement for PoC at a historically white event as well as Zulu Heru, artist behind Farmer the Rigger which was an honoraria in 2023 and so succesful the piece continues to travel and pop up at events around the Bay.

I formed and led the mobile practice at Sparkpr. Clients included Skype, Yahoo!, Symbian Foundation, Good Technology, EA Mobile, GetJar, INQ Mobile, waze, Tiny Pictures, Tapulous, Trolltech (go webkit!) to mention a few. Focused mostly on heavy media relations and strategy, event creation & support and interaction with influencers of all stripes. Emphasis on mobile apps, global carrier, OEM and developer programs.

Volunteered as a Sr. Staff member for five years as captain of the Media Mecca team, which I helped form. Creator of the first (paper-based) press kit for the event. Grew Media Mecca department to a global team of 80 PR volunteers and oversaw press relations activities on and off the playa. Remain an active participant in the event and backdoor counselor to BMorg.

Worked on Oracle and Sun Microsystems accounts. Launched the first tiny drive from Iomega. Helped digital music disruptor MP3.com have one of the most successful IPOs in 1999.
