Throughout my career, it has been a goal of mine to pursue life-long learning. I continually challenge myself to grow my skills through advanced education and certifications. Most recently, I enrolled in the software engineering bootcamp at Actualize.I started my career, after graduating from The Soma Institute, working for a podiatric surgeon and gained extensive knowledge of human anatomy as the sole provider of rehabilitation at the office. While pursuing my master of massage therapy, I joined a wellness spa to gain experience in a different area of the profession. During this time I found that I missed the clinical setting. So I returned to my passion and began working for a chiropractor, which gave me the opportunity to learn about and work with spinal and postural diagnoses.Having worked in a variety of contexts has allowed me to work with a variety of people with diverse physical needs. This breadth of experience has served to hone my interpersonal skills, reinforcing the values of listening and empathy. Although my passion for massage has not gone, Actualize has given me the new challenge and new career path that I found myself searching for the past couple of years. I have been able to combine personal passions with professional ones. I find a great satisfaction in detail-oriented work that also involves problem-solving and creativity. It is important to me to continually learn and grow and I appreciate the infinite possibilities that are present in this ever-evolving industry. I look forward to not only applying what I have learned to real-world situations, but learning more as I move forward professionally.
