Starting her career as a Graphic Designer, Candace studied at Durham College. She quickly moved from a small local company to working in the corporate design world. Working at Nielsen gave her the experience to work in a global setting with many multinational companies. As well she was able to gain a wealth of knowledge about understanding consumer behavior and data analysis. After 12 years, she decided to move on to a new challenge - website development!After a few years of working as a freelancer, she was excited to join the My Brother Darryl team. Working in a close knit team environment allows her to focus on what she is most passionate about. - Front-end web development- Accessibility and Usability- SEO and analyticsWith the Advent of AODA, Candace started the process of becoming certified in accessible web development. In 2022, she obtained her IAAP certification as a Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS), which was gained through years of experience and hard work. You'll find Candace constantly striving to learn new technology and techniques and adding new courses and certifications to her roster.
