As Business Administrator, Candace Pittman provides administrative support to the Place team by developing, monitoring, and reporting project accounts. While maintaining the accounts payable and receivables processing, she also assists with onboarding staff, interns, project vendors, and subcontractors. Having held positions in academics and business, her comprehensive office experience has equipped her with a multitude of business skills. It has allowed her to make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and successfully coordinate day-to-day business practices at Place. Before joining Place, Candace worked at Texas A&M University, where she provided staff support and business and academic activities coordination. Her responsibilities encompassed; undergraduate and graduate onboarding, faculty new hires, assisting the management of department accounts and unit budget, managing personnel functions, and program coordinating of specialized activities including; conferences, workshops, department events, graduate recruiting, and orientations.With a strong passion for the arts, Candace attended KD Conservatory College of Film and Dramatic Arts, obtaining an Associate of Arts in Film and Dramatic Arts: Acting. Candace believes participation in performing arts is therapeutic, can develop reasoning, enhance creative thinking and one’s sense of purpose.
