I began my finance career at Navistar in the International Finance Group. With consistent upward progression, I served as a Financial Analyst, Sr. Financial Analyst, Finance Mgr. and then moved to the International Truck & Engine Corp., as Finance Mgr. of Mexico, Brazil, and Export. In 2005, I assumed the role of Finance Mgr. of the newly created entity Navistar Defense, when Navistar entered a new niche market in government contracting and produced mine-resistant armored vehicles for the US Dept. of Defense. I spent the next nine years advancing in roles and responsibilities, leading to promotion to CFO of ND. I led the finances for the entire division as it entered high growth mode during the height of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; accumulated sales for Navistar Defense grew to $14B, experiencing $4B growth in one year. My ability to take initiative, lead and develop a finance and accounting team, yet remain flexible in volatile and shifting markets, is a testament to my work ethic, my dedication, and my ability to work in ambiguity. I proudly won two awards for my leadership efforts in the production of thousands of vehicles that saved countless lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. What typically took multiple years to develop and produce, took Navistar Defense only months. I received recognition from the CEO of Navistar, as a winner of the Chairman's Award, for my contributions to securing a multi-billion dollar government contract. The Dept. of Defense awarded me an Honorary Service Member Award, the highest honor a civilian contractor can receive in recognition of feats performed outside the military ranks in support of troops. I was given honorary dog tags, designating me as "one of their own."I joined Sears Holdings as a Divisional Vice President and Business Unit CFO in 2014 for the Tools division. In 2016 progressed to finance leader of Sporting Goods, Toys, and the Shop Your Way online platform.
