I am also the founder and director of Integrity Counseling Group, a group practice that serves the Christian community in San Diego and throughout California.We have offices in San Marcos, Carlsbad, and Mission Valley. We also see clients via telehealth. Under Aaron's mentorship, I began to specialize in trauma and sex addiction, which continues to be the focus of my practice today.I was trained by Dr. Patrick Carnes as a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). I went on to receive my Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist (CMAT) certification through the same organization.Many addictions have some sort of trauma at their core. That’s why I rely heavily on Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Trauma can feel like a raw, open wound. But EMDR heals traumatic memories so that they become more like a scar that is no longer sensitive to touch.
